Alessandra Manzini

Dr. Alessandra Manzini, EUTOPIA SIF Marie Curie post-doctoral fellow at CY Cergy Paris University and  CASES group at UPF, works at the intersection of radical geography, political ecology, and advanced statistical ethno-archaeology. She leads the SPIRAL project, a global and cross-cultural comparative study of spiritual landscape management practices with a particular focus on sacred groves and forest patches. In the past she co-led as principal investigator the circular economy aspect & innovation uptake of 2BoSS project. Her expertise spans critical urbanism and socio-technical and ecological transitions. She dedicated her PhD research to transition dynamics in the Global South, working with ecovillages in Senegal from 2018 to 2022 and beyond
